EEO/AA/M/F/Disabled/Vets Job Description : Hybrid Role: 4 days in office PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including congressional and executive branch staff, third-party groups, and coalitions. Track and analyze policy and legislation related to issues like generative AI, privacy, intellectual property, etc. Attend and report on external events such as congressional hearings and third-party conferences. Prepare briefings, talking points, and materials for News Corp leadership engagements with Congress, the Executive Branch, and other stakeholders. Assist in preparing backgrounders, statements, questions for the record, and other materials for congressional hearings. Manage and prepare quarterly, semi-annual, and annual lobbying compliance reports. Collaborate with a small team to advance company goals and perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. At least four (4) years of relevant experience, including work on Capitol Hill, the Executive Branch, trade associations, political consulting, or government affairs departments. Strong knowledge of federal legislative rules, procedures, and processes. Excellent relationship-building skills. Outstanding research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues. Flexible team player capable of prioritizing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating professionalism. Ability to work independently with sound judgment and discretion. TRAVEL HOURS & WORK: Extended work hours may be required, including some evening and weekend meetings and events.
