A Technician Intern will work alongside a qualified mentor and participate in a Warren CAT-sponsored program to develop the knowledge and expertise to become a Caterpillar Technician.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Work under the guidance of a Warren CAT Mentor to:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar Engines and Machinery.
Utilize hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, laptops, diagnostic software, cranes, and rigging equipment.
Understand engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and components.
Adhere to service manuals and technical guidelines to ensure repairs meet Caterpillar standards and accurately document all service and repair activities.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher during the internship.
Arrange for housing near the school campus and the local Warren CAT location if required.
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Successfully complete the Work Steps assessment.
