Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Medical Scribe 1 will transcribe patient visit notes into the electronic medical record system. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation. The Medical Scribe 1 contributes to administration of care management by ensuring uncompromised patient care by transcribing fast and accurately, as well as performing thorough editing. The Medical Scribe 1 works with Providers and transcription equipment including editing and correcting medical dictation performed by speech recognition software. Performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.Will also support with medical assistant duties in times that scribe services are not needed. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent CPR Certified Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB 1+ years of experience as a Medical Scribe/Transcriptionist, or similar, such as provider documentation/notes and medical charting Preferred Experience Certified or Registered - (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration) Phlebotomy experience• Medication/vaccine administration experience Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems Ability to transcribe accurately and maintain a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute Experience with specialized transcription equipment and voice recognition software In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and jargon, as well as editing practice Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and meet legal requirements Exceptional written communication skills and knowledge of medical record formats Working hours : Monday to Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM Willing to travel to nearby clinics to help when needed Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
