Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Lineman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of streetlight systems, including poles, fixtures, wiring, and related equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in outdoor environments. Key Responsibilities * Install, repair, and maintain streetlight poles, fixtures, and electrical wiring. * Perform inspections to identify and troubleshoot issues such as outages, damaged components, or wiring failures. * Replace defective parts, including light bulbs, ballasts, fuses, and photocells. * Operate and maintain bucket trucks, lifts, and other equipment necessary for streetlight work. * Ensure all work complies with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies. * Respond to emergency repair requests and outages promptly. * Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and utility providers to plan and execute projects. * Document completed work, including materials used, work performed, and any issues encountered. * Conduct regular preventative maintenance to extend the life of streetlight systems. * Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and replacement parts. * Actively use the program TerraGO to complete jobs. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications preferred). * Minimum of 1 year experience as a lineman or in electrical maintenance. * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques. * Familiarity with safety protocols, including OSHA standards and proper PPE usage. * Ability to work at heights using bucket trucks or ladders. * Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred or required. * Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and teamwork skills.
