About the Role
The Company is in need of a Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing its financial strategy during a period of dynamic growth. The ideal candidate will have a background in the construction industry and a strong focus on strategic financial planning, particularly for startups and rapidly expanding businesses. Key responsibilities for the Fractional CFO include providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth plans, assessing and enhancing the current financial state and processes, and evaluating the legal structure for its appropriateness. The role also involves the implementation and formalization of financial controls and procedures, as well as mentoring the existing Director of Finance. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the company's leadership to ensure that financial strategies align with overall business objectives. This is a part-time, flexible position that requires a commitment of around 10 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours initially. The Fractional CFO will be instrumental in offering cash management advice, including the analysis of loan structures and letters of credit, and will be a key figure in the company's financial decision-making process. A proactive and hands-on approach is essential, as is the ability to adapt to the fast-paced and evolving nature of the business.
