ESTIMATOR
THE ROLE: Our client is currently seeking a motivated individual for our facility in the Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania area as an Estimator . The primary responsibly of this role will be to generate quotations by gathering details and compiling data to estimate all costs based on customer specifications. The successful candidate will need to consider items like raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, and freight for estimations. In addition to generating quotes, you will assist customers by answering phone calls. This will involve some cross training knowledge of other departments. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the desire and ability to identify business needs, areas of improvement and objectives through research and data backed decision-making that will empower them to make recommendations on appropriate business initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
Manage customers interface, including but not limited to:
Clarification of technical details and commercial conditions
Review and analyze specifications for products.
Quote prices, propose and describe technical solutions, credit terms according to bid specifications
Monitor progresses of outstanding requisitions
Ensure customer acceptance and satisfaction
Analyze costs to determine profitability of orders received based on quoted prices.
Develop procedures and provide technical information to field sales and third-party representatives to facilitate receipt of orders.
Become familiar with our product offerings as well as a practical understanding of our competitors products.
Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' applications and assist customers in making product selections.
Act as the company’s first point-of-contact in answering phone calls dialed into the company phone number
Manage incoming calls
Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree or three years business experience preferred
Valid drivers license with no major violations.
Excellent time management, communication, customer services, and interpersonal skills
Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access).
Estimating/quoting, customer service, inside sales or other related business experience preferred
Remarkable conflict management skills and attention to detail.
Experience working with SAP preferred.
Demonstrate a high level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, positivity, organization, and professionalism
Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously
Proficient in reading and interpreting design prints and customer specifications
Excellent people, communication (written and verbal), negotiation and facilitation skills
Flexibility to adapt to deadlines, changing schedules, priorities, and unpredictable events within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
This role will assist with the marketing department as needed so experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CRM and CMS software would be also preferred.
