Entry-Level Survey Technician (No Experience Needed) Job Description We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Survey Technicians to join our Indianapolis Survey team. The successful candidates will work closely with experienced surveyors and engineers to assist in the collection, analysis, and documentation of survey data for various local, state, and federal projects. Responsibilities Assist in conducting field surveys using various surveying instruments, including GPS, total stations, levels, LiDAR scanners, and drones. Collect and record accurate survey data in the field. Perform data entry and analysis using surveying software and tools. Assist in the preparation of survey maps, plats, and reports. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of survey tasks. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working condition. Assist with other duties as assigned. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience working in the field/outdoor work experience Desire to learn the surveying industry Ability to work in all weather conditions Must be coachable and dependable Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working outside Construction trade experience Ideal candidate would have around 1 year of experience as a rodman/instrument operator Work Environment This person will be working outdoors in all weather conditions. The survey crew typically works 40-45 hours per week, starting at 7 AM (though during the summer months, they may start sooner). There may be some Saturday work, and candidates must be comfortable with this. Any hours over 40 per week will be paid out at time and a half. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
