Job Description

Job Summary: The Electric Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of generator installations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role involves managing installation teams, optimizing workflows, maintaining compliance, and collaborating with other departments to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee generator installation projects to meet company and customer expectations.
  • Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget constraints.
  • Monitor project timelines, adjust schedules as needed, and resolve any workflow bottlenecks.
  • Review project scope, permits, and site conditions to ensure a smooth installation process.
  • Supervise, train, and support installation technicians, electricians, and field crews.
  • Monitor performance, and conduct regular team evaluations.
  • Foster a positive, safety-conscious work environment and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Resolve personnel or job site conflicts to maintain smooth operations.
  • Ensure all installations meet industry regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and enforce corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of tools and PPE.
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure equipment, generators, and materials are available.
  • Manage fleet, tools, and inventory to minimize downtime and ensure job readiness.
  • Track and control project costs to maximize profitability and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with sales, project managers, and technicians to align installation schedules with customer needs.
  • Provide progress reports to management and recommend operational improvements.

Requirements:

  • Electrical background. Journeyman or Master Electrician is a plus.
  • Proven leadership experience managing field crews and production teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to answer phones and type on computer.
  • The employee must work outdoors in extreme heat and cold conditions.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment: Combination of office and fieldwork, including job site visits. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions when needed.
