THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

 

​The Director, Marketplace Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire operations for the marketplace function. This role also entails designing and optimizing marketplace processes (e.g., seller onboarding, platform integration item setup, fraud prevention, seller payments, customer service dispute resolution, etc.) to ensure customer and seller needs are effectively met.

You’ll accomplish all this by:

  • Planning and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the marketplace business to ensure seamless operational performance (NPS, lead time, seller experience)
  • Leveraging in-depth understanding of current processes and systems that impact the life cycle of an order across the operational supply chain
  • Coordinating the process of onboarding and establishing guidelines/ policies for sellers (including monitoring sales, product quality, and adherence to marketplace standards)
  • Managing inventory to prevent stock outs and owning product catalogue to ensure accurate product listings and categorization
  • Managing and leading 3PLs to meet requirement and performance guideline, day-to-day guidance and effective performance of the 3PL provider
  • Managing procurement processes and overseeing coordination of resource allocation
  • Overseeing customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics (NPS, lead time, seller experience, returns, cancellations)
  • Escalate, monitor, and resolve day to day operational/technical issues
  • Work with the engineering team to build and launch product updates, following through to track progress and effectiveness

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • At minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in related fields, including business, operations management, supply chain; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in e-commerce, online marketplaces, or store/warehouse/logistics/production management fields; background in the retail industry will be an advantage
  • Strong understanding of 3P Operations including inventory management, supply chain. fulfilment, shipping, and returns
  • Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Programs is required. Knowledge in SAP/WMS will be advantage
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills including attention to detail, ability to operate efficiently in a time-sensitive environment, and strong decision making and
    problem-solving skills
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with all related parties, including 3PLs to complete tasks
: The pay range for this position is $140,200.00 - $190,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
