Cybersecurity Analyst Hybrid Description DSI is seeking a qualified Information Technology professional to join our Information Security Team. The team provides computing, applications management, IT procurement, network, and telecommunications services across all Client divisions and offices. Responsibilities Proven experience in cybersecurity operations with hands-on expertise in monitoring and managing security tools, including vulnerability scanning platforms such as Tenable (Nessus, Tenable.sc, or Tenable.io). Continuously monitor security tools and systems (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, CrowdStrike EDR, DLP, Tenable vulnerability scanners) to detect, investigate, and respond to potential threats in real time. Maintain and oversee the CrowdStrike platform, ensuring proper configuration, alert triage, threat hunting, and endpoint coverage. Analyze data from multiple sources to prepare the environment, respond to information requests, and support planning and operations with intelligence collection. Engage at various organizational levels to maintain a security posture aligned with risk tolerance, information access needs, business strategies, and compliance requirements. Integrate security frameworks across complex disciplines to support the agency's business needs with secure, cost-effective technology solutions. Possess strong knowledge of system administration, including configuration, hardening, patch management, and monitoring of Windows and Linux servers. Coordinate and oversee evidence production for internal and external audits. Conduct risk, vulnerability, and compliance assessments, and develop security measures and policies for mitigation and remediation. Update incident response plans and perform activities as per agency procedures and guidelines. Monitor audit logs periodically, report findings, and initiate breach notifications and incident responses as needed. Collaborate with developers to implement security measures for information systems and applications, ensuring data protection and preventing unauthorized access or modifications. Prepare and update Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M) to address security weaknesses and track remediation efforts. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on data security, auditing, and monitoring best practices. Work with stakeholders to coordinate security services that meet agency needs. Report on the status of security programs and projects to senior management through reports and presentations. Assist with security awareness training and develop related materials. Develop security metrics to evaluate policy and control effectiveness. Perform other professional responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, information assurance, or a related field from an accredited institution. At least 2 years of experience in network, operating system, database, and application security. Experience with federal and state laws compliance is desirable. Knowledge of current and emerging security technologies and practices. Experience with NIST 800-53 and/or CMS MARS-E/ARC-AMPE standards. Experience with cloud-based solutions and environments. Certifications such as CISSP or CISA are preferred. Experience in system administration for Linux and Windows. At least 3 years of experience in information security or assurance. Certifications like CISM are a plus.
