An ideal candidate would be someone who has strong pedagogical skills for wind instruments and concert ensembles, a strong foundation in the marching arts is preferred but not required, focused on building and sustaining a culture of excellence both musically and socially, and willingness to collaborate with other Directors within the Department. Candidates must have strong communication and organizational skills and lead and teach with a student centered approach. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to; Direct concert ensemble(s) as assigned by the Director of Bands Direct jazz ensemble(s) as assigned by the Director of Bands Assistant Director of The Marching Pride of Lawrence Township Pep Band (Boys/Girls Varsity Basketball) Assist with the 6th grade Band program Assist in planning for/lead extracurricular activities and events including Concerts, fundraisers, rehearsals, etc. Assist in overseeing the private lesson program Other duties as assigned by the Director of Bands Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township
